Ziega Meridian Chronograph, White
The Ziega Meridian Chronograph in white is a British microbrand men's chronograph watch, 40mm, with a Seiko quartz movement and a 316L stainless steel bracelet, priced at £159.
A white dial is the hardest of the three to get right. There is nowhere to hide a badly printed index or an uneven subdial, and every mark shows. It is also the version that reads clearest at a glance, which is what a chronograph is for. Silver applied indices, black registers, a silver aluminium tachymeter bezel and a polished steel bracelet.
Inside is a Seiko VD53 quartz chronograph movement, made in Japan. It times to a fifth of a second and resets cleanly, and being quartz it keeps time without winding, with a battery lasting up to five years
If you have been looking for an affordable chronograph watch in the UK that is not on every wrist in the country, this is a small numbered run rather than a mass produced line. Each piece carries its own stamped serial number and a signed, dated certificate.
